The San Francisco Improv Alliance Presents 
The Audition Class January 11, 18, 25 2006


You know how to improvise.  Now learn the skills to take your training into improvisational ensembles.  Learn how to present yourself to San Francisco theaters, agents, casting directors and online!

The Audition Class is a three week class that will give you the essentials to landing and sticking auditions, and to promote yourself in person, in print and online!  These inexpensive classes will give you the resources and essentials (both physical and online) to stick land that audition!

This class also ends in full and up-to-date "Take Home" resources for the Bay Area to kick start your auditioning experience!

Whether you are a beginning actor/improviser looking for the best way to approach an audition...or an advanced actor/improviser looking to find new ways to promote yourself  in the electronic medium...these classes are ideal for The Audition Business side of your career.

The Teachers:
Paul Killam
Paul, who is a film and commercial actor, received a degree in Dramatic Arts from UC Davis. He has been a member of BATS Improv's Main Stage Company since 1989 and served as BATS first Artistic Director from 1996 to 1998.  Paul is a founding member of True Fiction Magazine and has performed with Pulp Playhouse, The San Francisco Mime Troupe and participated on The Weber Family Christmas.

Paul has played with Theatresports all over the country and nationally including: Seattle, Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, New York, Los Angeles, Orlando, Palm Springs, Stanford, and Sydney, Australia. 

 

Shaun Landry
Originally from Chicago Shaun Landry is Artistic Director of Oui Be Negroes, founder of the San Francisco Improv Alliance, Producer of The San Francisco Improv Festival for three years, improviser with ComedySportz San Jose and former member and Co-Founder of The San Francisco Improv Co-Operative. She has performed with The Second City Chicago's Touring and Children's Theater Company, Geese Theater Company, African American Shakespeare, Multi Ethnic Theater, Custom Made Theater, Child's Play Touring Theater, Black and Tan Improv, The Sam Shaw Show, and Hit and Run Productions.  She has just finished performing in The Drug Diaries at The Darkroom Theater.

Shaun  is an acting, improvisational and Business of Theater instructor, teaching all over the country and internationally including: The New York Improv Festival, Stanford University, Northwestern University, The Funny Women's Improv Festival, Oberlin Improv Conference, The Big Stinkin Improv Festival, The Amsterdam International Improv Festival, and upcoming teaching in Oslo Norway.  She has also been instrumental in bringing Master Class teachers to San Francisco including: Mick Napier, Ian Roberts, Charna Halpern, David Razowsky, Joe Bill, and Andy Eninger.

Shaun is a professional commercial and film actress, who will be seen in the upcoming movie Read You Like a Book with Danny Glover.
